My daughters and I had the opportunity to stay in one of the most unique hotels in downtown St. Louis, and I’m so excited to share it with you! If you’re looking for hotels for train lovers, the St. Louis Union Station hotel is a must-see. The train theming is impeccable and so much fun for the entire family.

A couple of months ago, we headed to STL again for my daughter Blair to attend a dance convention.

And, of course, little sister Alexis wanted to come along for the ride! Alexis is 3 now and really thinks of herself as such a big girl. She wants to do everything Blair does (and then some).
Although the St. Louis Union Station hotel is beautiful year-round, we had the wonderful fortune of visiting during the holiday season, which was even more magical. The entire property made me feel like I was in a Christmas movie!

The hotel is conveniently located in downtown St. Louis, close to tons of activities but we didn’t even leave while we were there! Between the amenities at the hotel itself and Blair’s busy dance schedule, there wasn’t much time left.
The on-site market is very convenient for food, drinks, and sundries. They also sell phone chargers (ask me how I know).
I swear I forget at least one thing every time we travel. As often as we’re out of town, you’d think I would have it down to a science… but I very much do not.
Also in the market area is this really fun model train display. Because the hotel is part of St. Louis Union Station, they really did a great job making this one of the best hotels for train lovers. There is fun train theming all throughout the property, both in common areas and in guest rooms.
For example, we were greeted by this sign about the New York Central Railroad as we entered our room.
The photo above was some more of our guest room art. I love how they’ve carried the train theme all throughout this downtown St. Louis hotel. It truly makes it one of the best hotels for train lovers!

One of the highlights of our room was the incredible view outside the window! We had a great view into the Union Station area, with lots of activities.
The view is beautiful during the day, but even more spectacular in the evening. As I mentioned earlier, we had the opportunity to visit this hotel during December, so they were running a light show in the evenings that we could watch right from our room. This was so much better than looking at lights out in the cold!

I am really hoping we are able to go back to this hotel next holiday season, as this was such a fun memory for both of my girls!
