After the bakery we hired to make Colton’s birthday cake cancelled on us last minute, I had to figure out how to make a Yoshi cake on my own. I’m happy to report that I found this amazing method that allows basically anyone to put any character on a cake. Writing my Chicago travel posts makes me wonder how we fit all of these activities into just 2 days! The trip was a whirlwind, but lots of fun. One of the kids’ favorite activities was Winter Wonderfest at Navy Pier. There was so much to do and–most importantly–it was indoors!
