We arrived at the Courtyard Bellevue around 7:00 on Friday evening. With dance competitions, it’s always up in the air if you will need to compete on Friday (or sometimes even earlier in the week), or if you’ll get lucky and have a weekend-only schedule. Thankfully, Blair had a great schedule this time and all of her dances were scheduled on Saturday evening. So, we were able to make the drive up to the Omaha area after school on Friday. This is always such a nice surprise, as she often ends up having to miss school to travel and/or compete.
Everyone at check in was very friendly and welcoming! It was a great first impression. Then, we headed up to check out our room. The room was beautiful and spacious, and even included a couch. There was plenty of room for Blair and I to spread out–plus, all of her dance bags.
Gotta give a shout out to Allison, who went above and beyond coordinating this stay for us. When we checked in, she had even prepared a special gift bag for Blair and I! Blair was so excited about the special goodies and the sweet note. Thank you, Allison!
Our bathroom was quite large and, most importantly, clean. I was very impressed with the overall cleanliness and upkeep of this entire hotel. And, the housekeeping crew did a great job refreshing our linens and tidying the room for us. It was so nice to come back after a long day at convention to a beautiful, clean room!
Inside the Courtyard Marriott Bellevue, there’s a Bistro where you can purchase food and drinks. Super convenient, and plenty of seating! There is also a small sundries shop by the check-in area where you can find items as well.

Of course, Blair and I wanted to go explore over at the Beardmore Event Center as well! We popped over while they were setting up for a prom. It is a beautiful venue with such a convenient location!
The Beardmore Event Center would be a perfect Bellevue NE wedding venue or a wonderful spot to host any large gathering in the Omaha area. There is also plenty of free parking, which is a huge advantage for attendees.
Back inside the hotel, there’s plenty of room in the lobby to gather together and unwind.
Blair is becoming such a good little travel buddy, and I love spending these mother/daughter weekends with her. She even packs her own luggage! I pack her dance costumes and convention bag just to make sure she has everything she needs in class, but she takes care of all of her regular clothes and everything else she needs for the trip. For only being 7, she’s very responsible and becoming quite a seasoned traveler.
The gym at the Courtyard was a great size and had a good variety of machines and weights. Blair wanted to hop on the elliptical, which is her favorite!
After busy days of dancing both in class and on stage, Blair was exhausted! She had a great time at the dance convention and we loved our stay at the Courtyard. It was the perfect spot for us to unwind and relax after long days of dance. Plus, the comfy beds were a huge bonus!
