What has an executive suite, lounge access, an indoor/outdoor rooftop pool, and more? Our latest trip to the Hyatt Regency Tulsa Downtown!
My daughter Blair and I have made several trips to Tulsa, Oklahoma over the past couple of years for her dance competitions. Because we visit the area so frequently, I’m always on the lookout for the best hotels in downtown Tulsa and this latest visit was no exception! Most recently, we had the opportunity to stay at the Hyatt Regency Tulsa Downtown and it was an amazing experience. I’m very excited to share my Hyatt Regency Tulsa Downtown reviews with you in this post.

Hyatt Regency Tulsa Downtown is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Tulsa, just down the street from BOK Center. The location is perfect for sightseeing or attending events in Tulsa.
We arrived at the hotel in the evening, after a busy day of competing. Blair earned 3rd place for her lyrical solo at this competition, which meant she qualified to compete that solo at nationals also. Although it was late, she was very wired when we arrived at our hotel. She was very excited to check out all of the amenities, and she always loves a downtown view!
We were lucky enough to stay in an Executive Suite at the Hyatt Regency Tulsa Downtown. Blair was only 2 years old the last time we stayed in a suite, so she wasn’t old enough to really remember it. This time, she was so excited! I didn’t tell her ahead of time because I wanted her to be surprised. Seeing the look on her face when she saw this room was so fun!
The photos above are from the living room area of the suite. Blair couldn’t believe we had so many space! Although it was just the 2 of us traveling this time, having the extra space was so nice. Each morning, I would do her hair and makeup in the living room area before heading to the dance convention. This allowed us to keep the bedroom area ready for sleep. Blair and I are both always wiped out after the first day of convention classes, so coming back to a comfy bed was amazing.
We were so spoiled with the snacks and charcuterie board set up in our room upon arrival. The front desk was also very helpful with getting us checked in and offering some water bottles as well.
Pro tip: the front desk at Hyatt Regency Downtown Tulsa is actually on the 2nd floor. You’ll enter at street level, then take either the escalator in the photo above or the elevator up to the 2nd floor to check in. From there, you can take the elevator to your room. We stayed on the 12th floor, and there are 15 floors total.
Our suite at Hyatt Regency Tulsa Downtown had 2 beds in the bedroom, along with a desk, mini fridge, and TV.
The suite also had 2 separate bathrooms, which was such a nice upgrade. In addition to the bathrooms, there were also mirrors in the rooms that you could use to get ready as well. This room would easily fit several people!
Both bathrooms were also very clean and had great water pressure. And, if you’re a frequent traveler like myself, you know how frustrating it can be to come back at the end of a long day to a room with water barely dripping out of the shower head. Here, I was able to enjoy a relaxing shower with plenty of water pressure!
After Blair was done with her dance convention classes on Saturday, she wanted to invite some of her dance friends to swim! I was so excited to find a downtown Tulsa hotel with rooftop pool. The best part is that we had amazing weather during our stay, so it was perfect for swimming.
While the girls swam in the downtown Tulsa rooftop pool, us moms enjoyed the city views. There was plenty of seating on the pool deck, and even an Instagram-worthy photo backdrop. This was also Blair’s first experience swimming in an indoor/outdoor pool, and she loved swimming back and forth from inside to outside. The rooftop pool is definitely one of the reasons why this is one of the best hotels in downtown Tulsa in my opinion!
Of note for my Hyatt Regency Tulsa Downtown reviews — there is also a gym inside, near the pool area. It looked well-equipped, but I did not have an opportunity to check it out since I had Blair with me the entire time.
Our room at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Tulsa also included lounge access. The lounge is on the 15th floor, and we went to check it out early Saturday evening. There was plenty of seating and lots of snacks and drinks to choose from.
Blair had never been in an lounge before, and she’s definitely a little spoiled after this trip! I am so grateful to be able to make these memories and have these experiences with her. When I was her age, I would’ve never dreamed of being able to travel the way that she does. She works so hard at dance and I love being able to accompany her on trips to grow her craft.
All smiles in the lounge! She felt like such a big girl and couldn’t wait to tell dad and her siblings all about it when she got home.
Although we had originally planned to eat dinner with some of Blair’s dance friends on Saturday night, we ended up calling it an early night and having a pizza delivered instead. She was exhausted from competing Friday, then a full day of classes and an afternoon of swimming on Saturday. In fact, she was already trying to fall asleep on the couch in our room before the pizza even arrived. It was good for her to head to bed early and get plenty of rest for her audition on Sunday morning.
